what is a castle?

a castle is a large building. One type of castle is one with soldiers guarding the walls. Generally queens or kings live in castles. Most castles have a drawbridge.

What is a drawbridge? A drawbridge is a door but not just any door it lowers witch lets people in but it also raises. Drawbridges are a great source of protection and defence.

hypothesis video-

now I will tell you all about the feudal system. A feudal system is a how the people of the medieval society interact. The feudal system is used for seeing who does what. The people least in charge give the most important people such as the king, bishop or pope food, and fight for them when needed in exchange for land.    heres a picture of a feudal system. lord/serfs

a lord is some one who possess land and gives other people the right to use the  land. A serf is a farmer they have to harvest their own plants just to get food to eat but a large percentage of that food goes to the lords.

my Procedure:

I originally I was going to make a crank. Were I was just going to pull it. Then I decided I wanted to make it a bit more complex so I attached the strings to a stick and then I stuck both sides of the stick and stuck them into the wall and then I hot glued gears on to either side and made another hole in the wall and put another smaller stick in the wall and put a gear in the castle on the stick and the same thing on the outside and that was my gear system.
